Q:
What is the best plan for my property?
A:
The answer to this question is not the same for every property or
every landowner. Our consultants will ask you the right questions to
help you decide what is best for your property and make suggestions
that will help you achieve your desired goals.
Q:
Will my timber be over harvested?
A:
No. Our consultants strongly suggest and advise the use of Timber
Stand Improvement, or TSI.
Q:
Are the best practices, required
environmental laws and regulations being followed?
A:
S.F.C will ensure that your timber sale is handled in a professional
manner. All regulations and soil conservation rules will be
followed. The goal is to provide the landowner with a long-term
sustainable timber stand.
Q:
Who will inspect the job to ensure that all items in the contract
are being observed?
A:
Our consultants will monitor the job site and make sure all Federal
and State rules and regulations are being followed per the contract.
Q:
Will the company or individuals harvesting the timber be properly
insured?
A:
Absolutely. The company or individuals will be required to file a
certificate of insurance evidencing adequate workman's compensation
coverage, public liability and automobile liability coverage before
entering the owners property.
Q:
Will I be paid the full current market price for my timber?
A:
Because S.F.C has quantified your
timber in relation to species, diameter, height and volumes; you are
ensured that the bidding timber companies are paying you their best
price. The bidding process also ensures that you will receive the
current market value of your timber.
